    Mosaic Basics

    Thursday, March 11
    10am to 1pm

    Learn basic mosaic techniques while creating a decorative mosaic tile. Each student will learn to break pottery, glass, ceramic, etc., adhere it to a 4”x4” ceramic tile, and grout it. All tools will be provided. Resource lists and instruction sheets will also be available. Taught by Sandy Arbogast.

    Pendants in Black & White

    Saturday, March 13
    1pm to 2:30pm

    Learn the art of Zendoodling, a relaxing form of doodling, and then use your new drawing to make these fun and easy glass tile pendants. This class is open to anyone ages 11 and up - so bring a friend or a daughter! Bring a 01 Micron black pen or you can purchase one at the studio for $3.00 the day of the class. All other supplies will be provided. Taught by Annie Tinnesand.

    The Next Step...

    ...Is Cut Outs, Windows and Doors, how to cut them, where to cut them and why you want them. We'll use craft knives, punches & scissors to cut and even a bit of Tearing! Taught by Helen Bosely.

    Mosaic Eggs & Balls

    Saturday, March 27
    10am to 2:30pm

    Styrofoam, plastic, or wooden eggs and spheres will be sealed and ready to mosaic with pieces of broken glass, ceramic, beads, etc. Grouting will be optional. All tools and supplies will be provided. Students should be able to complete one ball or at least two eggs during this 4 hour class. Taught by Sandy Arbogast.

    Altered Book Workshop

    This workshop is the perfect way to set aside time to be creative! Each session Helen will introduce a new idea or technique that you can expand on and incorporate into your book in your own unique way. She will be there to help inspire and problem solve. Working in a group is inspiring and fun, allowing you to work at your own pace and bounce ideas around. We highly recommend taking Altered Book Beginnings before attending the Workshop. Facilitated by Helen Bosely.

    Altered Book Beginnings

    Friday, April 9
    1pm to 3pm

    Start at the beginning with Altered Books. Bring in any size, hard cover book with a strong binding to alter. Learn some of the basics, including how to add in and take out pages, adding color, and cutting a simple niche. Taught by Helen Bosely.

    Mosaic Stained Glass Coasters

    Saturday, April 10
    10am to 2:30pm

    A ceramic tile will be used for the base of each coaster. Students will learn to cut stained glass, adhere it to the tile, and grout it. All tools and supplies will be provided. Each student will make two coasters. Taught by Sandy Arbogast.

    Lettering: Monoline Uncial

    Learn an elegant alphabet based on the forms of Celtic alphabets from the 1500‘s. Uncial is used for serious, formal occasions. Taught by Nancy Caslick.

    Garden Dazzlers

    Thursday, April 22
    10am to 2:30pm

    April is the perfect time to make adornments for your garden! You’ll mosaic bases made from cement filled cookie cutters with pieces of broken china, ceramics, mirror, beads, and figurines. The dazzlers can be hung or staked. Number of dazzlers you finish depends on what kinds of bases you choose. Taught by Sandy Arbogast.

    Wine Journal

    Calling all Wine Lovers! This project is perfect for any Spring wine tastings you plan on attending or hosting! Alter a blank journal using paint, inks, and pocket pages to create a wine journal. Taught by Betsy Buckel.

    Learn a colorful contemporary alphabet - best for names and titles. Taught by Nancy Caslick.
